Agritourism & Wine Tourism in Crete
Wineries, olive groves, farms and workshops that welcome visitors, with the producer as your host.
Crete holds one of the oldest farming traditions in the Mediterranean. Vines and olives have been cultivated here for thousands of years, while livestock, beekeeping, herbs and food production remain bound up with daily life in the countryside. From Minoan vineyards to the family estates of today, the land is still at the centre of Cretan culture.

Planning a trip to rural Crete
Rural Crete is far more than wine and olive oil: vineyards, olive groves, apiaries, cheese dairies, herbs, traditional cooking and small artisan workshops make up a landscape full of different experiences. The grape harvest runs from mid-August into October, and the olive harvest mainly from November to January.
