AgroVino

Terms of Use and Booking

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This is an English translation of the Greek text. If the two differ, the Greek text prevails.

1. Scope

The online platform trading as “AgroVino”, operated through the website agro-vino.com, presents wine tourism, food and agritourism experiences that are organised and provided by businesses and professionals working with AgroVino in various regions of Greece. Visitors to the platform can find out about the available experiences, choose the ones that interest them and book them online.

No account on the platform is needed to make a booking. A user may book as a guest or, if they wish, through an optional user account. For the purposes of these Terms, a “user” is anyone who visits or uses the platform or makes a booking through it, whether or not they have an account.

These Terms of Use and Booking govern access to and use of the platform, as well as the process of making bookings through it. Users are asked to read them carefully before making any booking.

By completing a booking, the user confirms that they have read and accept these terms, as well as the Cancellation and Refund Policy that applies to that booking.

2. The role of AgroVino and of the experience Provider

AgroVino operates as an online platform that presents the experiences of partner businesses and allows users to search for, choose and book them. In this context, AgroVino facilitates the booking and online payment process and passes on to the partner concerned the information needed to carry out the booking.

The organisation and actual provision of each experience rest solely with the business or professional named in the listing as the provider of the experience (the “Provider”). The Provider sets the content, duration, availability, price, maximum number of participants, any special conditions of participation, and the terms under which the experience is provided.

When a booking is confirmed, a contract for services is formed between the user and the Provider of that experience. AgroVino is not the organiser or the actual provider of the experiences and does not take the Provider’s place in delivering the service, without prejudice to the obligations AgroVino itself assumes as operator of the online platform and of the booking process.

3. How experiences are presented

The information about each experience, in particular its description, content, duration, location, price, availability, number of participants and any special conditions of participation, is shown in the experience’s listing on the platform.

This information is supplied or approved by the Provider concerned, who is responsible for its accuracy and for keeping it up to date. AgroVino takes reasonable care that the information shown on the platform reflects what the Provider has told it.

Before booking, the user should read the description of the chosen experience, and in particular any conditions or restrictions on taking part. Those special conditions form part of the terms of the booking, provided they were made known to the user before the booking was completed.

4. Making and confirming a booking

To make a booking, the user chooses the experience, the date and, where required, the time, and fills in the details requested during the booking process, in particular their full name, email address, phone number, the number of participants in each category and the language of communication.

Before the booking is finally submitted, the user is shown the main features of the chosen experience, its date and time, the number of participants, the total price to be paid and the cancellation terms that apply.

The user should check that the booking details are correct before submitting and must give true and accurate contact details.

The booking is complete once the required payment has gone through and a confirmation has been sent to the email address the user gave. The confirmation includes the main details of the booking and the information needed for the experience to take place.

5. Prices and payment

The price of each experience is shown in its listing on the platform and is the final price the user pays for that booking, including taxes and any other charges on the service.

Payment is made online through Stripe, the partner payment service provider built into the platform. The user’s payment details are submitted to and processed by the payment service provider’s system, and the “business” neither has access to nor stores the user’s full card details.

The legal tax document (receipt or invoice) for the experience is issued by the Provider, as the business providing the service.

6. Cancellations – Changes – Refunds

The terms under which the user may cancel a confirmed booking and receive, as the case may be, a full or partial refund of the amount paid are set out in AgroVino’s Cancellation and Refund Policy, which is made available to the user before the booking is completed.

For each experience, the Provider chooses whether free cancellation is offered. Where it is, free cancellation is available up to twenty-four (24) or forty-eight (48) hours before the scheduled start, depending on the Provider’s choice. The deadline that applies to the experience is made known to the user before the booking is completed. If the booking is cancelled within that deadline, the user is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid. After the deadline has passed, no refund is made.

Within the same deadline, the user may, instead of cancelling, move the booking free of charge to another available date or time of the same experience, subject to availability.

Where free cancellation is not offered for an experience, this is stated clearly in its listing and made known to the user before the booking is completed. In that case, a cancellation by the user, whenever it is made, does not entitle them to a refund of the amount paid, and the booking cannot be moved to another date or time. This does not affect the user’s rights where the Provider cancels the booking or makes a material change to the experience, as set out in the following paragraphs.

If the Provider cancels a confirmed booking or cannot provide the experience at the agreed time, the user is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid for that booking, unless they choose to accept a move to another available date or another solution that may be offered.

If, after the booking is confirmed, a material change is needed to a main feature of the experience, in particular its date, time, location or an essential part of its content, the user is informed without undue delay. If they do not accept the proposed change, they are entitled to cancel the booking and receive a full refund of the amount paid.

Any refund is made to the payment method used for the original transaction, unless that is not technically possible or something else is agreed with the user.

7. Right of withdrawal

The experiences offered through AgroVino, such as visits and tours of wineries, wine tastings and other food or agritourism experiences, generally take place on a specific date and/or at a specific time chosen by the user when booking.

For these bookings, since they are services related to leisure activities provided on a specific date or within a specific period, the general 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply (Article 16(l) of Directive 2011/83/EU).

The possibility of cancelling, the deadline for doing so and the right to a full or partial refund are set out in AgroVino’s Cancellation and Refund Policy, which is made known to the user before the booking is completed.

8. Taking part in experiences – User obligations

The user must arrive at the place of the experience on the date and at the time stated in their booking confirmation and follow the instructions and reasonable rules the Provider gives for the experience to run safely and smoothly.

Any special conditions of participation, such as age limits, physical fitness requirements or other restrictions linked to the nature of the experience, are stated in its listing, and the user should take them into account before booking.

In experiences that include alcoholic drinks, taking part and drinking are allowed only for those who meet the legal age limit. The Provider may ask for proof of age and refuse to serve alcohol when the legal conditions are not met.

The user should tell the Provider directly and in good time about any allergies, dietary restrictions or other particular needs that may affect their participation, using the Provider’s contact details that are shared after the booking is confirmed. This information is not passed to AgroVino through the booking process.

9. Liability of the Provider and of AgroVino

The Provider is responsible for organising and actually providing the experience it has undertaken, in line with the description and terms made known to the user when booking. The Provider is responsible in particular for the suitability and safety of its premises and equipment, for the conduct, acts and omissions of its staff, and for meeting the legal requirements for providing the service.

AgroVino is responsible for the services it itself provides in operating the platform and the booking process. It is not responsible for the acts or omissions of the Provider, nor for incidents that relate solely to the organisation or actual delivery of the experience and lie outside its control.

AgroVino makes reasonable efforts to keep the platform running continuously and smoothly. It is not responsible for temporary unavailability or malfunction caused by circumstances beyond its control.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits the rights of the consumer, or the liability of AgroVino or of the Provider, to the extent that such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.

10. Complaints – Problems during an experience

If the user runs into a material problem with a booking or with the provision of an experience, they can contact AgroVino using the contact details shown on the platform, giving the booking details and a description of what happened.

AgroVino may contact the Provider concerned and ask for the information needed to look into and resolve the matter.

Depending on the nature and extent of the shortfall, a full or partial refund of the booking amount may be made, in accordance with the Cancellation and Refund Policy and without prejudice to the user’s rights under applicable law.

Mere subjective dissatisfaction on the user’s part does not, in itself, give rise to a right to a refund, provided the experience was delivered essentially in line with its description and the booking terms.

11. Platform content – Intellectual property

The content of the platform, including for example the AgroVino name and distinctive marks, the structure and presentation of the website, and the texts, graphics and other material created for it, is protected by applicable intellectual and industrial property law.

Photographs, trademarks, logos and other material relating to specific Providers or experiences are used on the platform to present and promote those experiences.

Reproduction, commercial exploitation, distribution or any other use of the platform’s content beyond personal use connected with searching for and making bookings is not allowed without the prior permission of the rights holder concerned.

12. Personal data and cookies

AgroVino processes users’ personal data to the extent necessary to operate the platform, to make and manage bookings, to serve users and for the other purposes described in the Privacy Policy.

To make and carry out a booking, AgroVino passes to the Provider concerned the user’s personal data needed to provide that experience. The categories of data collected and passed on, the purposes and legal bases of processing, the recipients, the retention period and users’ rights are described in detail in AgroVino’s Privacy Policy.

The use of cookies and similar technologies on the platform is governed by AgroVino’s Cookie Policy as in force from time to time.

13. Changes to these terms

AgroVino may amend these Terms when this is required by a change in the operation or services of the platform, in the way bookings are made, or in the applicable legal and regulatory framework.

The version of the Terms in force is published on the platform together with the date of its last update. Changes do not affect the terms of bookings that have already been confirmed.

14. Governing law – Dispute resolution

These terms and the use of the platform are governed by Greek law, without prejudice to mandatory provisions that protect the consumer and apply in their case.

In the event of a dispute or complaint, the user may first contact AgroVino using the contact details shown on the platform, so that a resolution can be sought.

Recourse to the competent courts, or to any available out-of-court consumer dispute resolution scheme, remains possible under applicable law.

15. Final provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, this does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

Failure or delay in exercising a right under these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right.
